As I reflect, I am so grateful for being given the opportunity to lead a school where the students, staff, and school community are such a vibrant and vital part of our success. We have much to be proud of and celebrate – and yet I know that our job is never done. We are always on a continuous cycle of improvement and this year will be no different. The overarching, most significant improvement we will make for the upcoming school year will reflect that an education for a young child will be developmentally responsive, challenging, empowering, and equitable.

This means that we must embrace and nurture through our work and decision-making that every student can learn and should be held to high expectations; that we provide all students with the knowledge and skills they need to take control of their lives by pursuing their interests and passions; and that we advocate for every student’s right to learn by providing engaging and relevant learning opportunities. We can only achieve this vision, if you as parents and guardians join us in supporting your child.
